Mold can lead to: sinus infections, depression, fatigue skin irritation and many other health problems. Read about the useful natural solutions offered below.
1. Hydrogen peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide is an amazing solution for your mold problem and it is very cheap too. Put one bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide into a spray pump, spray the moldy wall with the hydrogen and let it stay for about 10-15 minutes. After that scrub the wall and then with a clean clothe remove the entire mold on the wall. You can also mix hydrogen peroxide with baking soda and vinegar and spray this mixture on the wall. Don’t forget that the hydrogen needs to be in a dark-colored bottle so that it won’t lose its properties.
Vinegar can also efficiently eliminate mold. Just spray the affected walls with it. You could dilute the scent with some water if it is too strong. But this is not recommended since it won’t have the same effect as the pure vinegar and it won’t be that powerful. We suggest improving the scent by adding a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Recent studies have proven that vinegar can eliminate 82% of bacteria and viruses including mold spores. You can also prevent the appearance of mold, just spray the walls and let them dry out.
3.Tea tree oil solution
Tea tree oil is a little more expensive but considering the fact that you will need only 2 teaspoons, it will last for a long period of time. Put the mixture of two teaspoons tea tree oil and two cups of water into a spray bottle. Spray the walls and let it dry out. The scent will gradually fade away so don’t wash it off the walls.
4.Citrus seed extract and water
This solution has two advantages: it is very effective and it is also odorless. If you have a sensitive nose, this is the perfect mold solution for you, because citrus seeds are scentless. In a spray bottle put 2 cups of water and 20 drops of the citrus seed extract and spray the moldy walls. Let it dry out and do not rinse it either.
5. Baking soda
If you are searching for a cheap and effective solution for your moldy walls, baking soda is the right solution for you. Another positive thing about baking soda is that it is odorless. Mix the baking soda with some water and pour the mixture into a spray bottle. After you’ve sprayed the walls leave them for a while. Then, take one clean cloth, scrub and wipe the area removing all the mold spores from the wall.
